I Know This Place and All Its Iterations
Screenprint on Paper | 2024 (Ongoing)
This series features several of my B&W film photos which I digitized and halftoned, then screenprinted with various colors of inks on paper with assorted thicknesses, colors, and textures. I then paired the prints up, cut them into strips of equivalent size (either 1/2” or 1/4”), and weaved the strips together to create a new image. This series explores liminality, the impact of color on the perception of an image, and distortion through disassembly and reassembly.

The Memory is Unclear / But The Feeling Remains
2024
The Memory is Unclear / But the Feeling Remains is a series of 15 screen prints, each comprised of 3 layers of transparent ink. It features 3 vintage photographs scanned and broken down into 3 separate layers, with each layer of the original being image being displayed progressively. The final 6 prints are the results of shuffling each layer into a unique order. This series evokes the nostalgia of childhood memories and focuses on the gradual degradation of memories as one ages.
BORING
Animation | 2024
BORING features vintage photographs which are scanned, digitally altered, and animated. Through deconstruction and reconstruction, I explore the mundanity of life, the regression of memory and personal history over time, and the interchangeability of individual identity within society.
Fleeting
Cyanotype on Paper | 2024 (Work in Progress)
A series of 3 images cyanotyped on both envelopes and paper. Vintage photos and postcards are scanned, altered, and digitally overlayed. Each envelope is scanned after exposure but before rinsing. Cyanotypes on paper are duplicated multiple times and altered through bleaching and toning. The empty silhouettes of each figure and obscured messages encapsulate the inevitable degredation of interpersonal relationships over time.
